I thought Wilkins was already in but you gotta remember Wilkins was supposedly a great player AND coach. He is probably more deserving than barkley but they both should be in anyway, I have no clue how the voting works or who votes or whatever.

according to the hall website the inductees wont be announced until Monday

The Class of 2006 will be announced on Monday, April 3 at a news conference in Indianapolis, Indiana prior to the NCAA’s Men’s Championship game. A Finalist needs 18 of 24 votes from the Honors Committee for election into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Auriemma, Barkley and Gavitt are Finalists in their first year of consideration by their respective Screening Committees. Kerner, Nelson and Sampson are first-time Finalists who have previously been reviewed by screening committees.

I can name a better forward.

Hell, I can name a couple of better forwards.

Barkley will be in, but you attack me for throwing around the word "great", well you have an obsession with "once in a lifetime."

I dont see what the big deal is if he did. Its not like Wilkins is a bum. Hes one of the greatest players ever, and everyone who's played with him or against him says he the most underrated player ever. He shouldve already been elected.

Well you call people who do something above average for a short period of time and call them great.

Whereas Barkley had a great carrer and is a no doubt hall of famer. He is a once in a lifetime player as i said you cant name another 6"4 player who can do what he did. He hads a post game and for a fat guy he was quick and agile. He doesnt get the credit he deserved since he didnt win a title. Only a few pfs from the 80's and 90's can be compared with him and hes around 5 inches shorter than all of them.
