does it matter if you've had prior convictions?

do you have to have a clean sheet to appear on a jury?

you only get elected to be on the jury if you have either blue eyes or blonde hair. or even better, both. or if you look and sound like Uncle Ruckus. or if you're just flat out stupid.

As Busta said, it's a random selection. You get notification in the mail. Unless you have extenuating circumstances, it's mandatory you attend.

From what I understand, you are then interviewed and asked questions about that case specifically, as well as about laws etc., then they decide (based on your opinions, bias etc.) whether you are suitable for the case.

Don't quote me on that, it's just what I've heard.

I have zero interest in being a jury member. Some cases can go weeks or months and you can find yourself holed up in a hotel room until it's over, not being allowed to see family members or work...

Sounds pretty suck ass to me.
