I thought there was going to be no topics......... Eh o well, I think I'll manage, checking in
in. best of luck
There is a lot in this piece so read closely... I chose to do number 5
Willing to try
Burning wood through the layers of thick smoke
We’ll all inhale the sickness that looms in the air
I once was scared of this day, but now it seems natural
She doesn’t give a fuck; she might have in the past
But that thought didn’t last and neither did these woods
Smokey the bear always warned caution
Who knew the dumb prick was right
I guess I threw gasoline on the match
Or my words were what fueled destruction
Well the world goes round till the world goes round
Off center is the hole that pierced my heart
It narrowly missed an instant fatality
But left me dying all the same, cold in the middle of flames
As I slowly see a past that had promise
Or a past promise that was broken to lead me here today
I gave up hope when I gave up control
And life became a road with no end
She once was weary of trusting me
I assured her it would all work for the better
Little did I know she would take my trust for granted
Her betrayal is not at the hands of enemies ends
Just a curiosity that lacks all explanation and reason
She always ran her mind clear of distractions
And all outside influences became aggravated turn offs
Her run never began….. She set a blaze, on fire till today
Well the world goes round
Until a pyro flames apart the wooded structure that breeds life
And you become a victim of rages product
It’s too late for god to forgive me now…. Too late
And the world goes round till the world goes round
3:25 in the morning when I heard a banging on the door
She told me today was the day I took a trip
Just her and me, and if heaven was this sweet, sign me up for hell
Cause I always enjoyed a bumpy ride
The devil is life's sinner, but I know my wrongs always been right
ok, I remember talking to you about this piece sorta. You was talkin about the rhyme scheme and not using one, well believe me, you didn't need it for this one anyway. It's definitely different from the other pieces I've read thusfar about the devil...keep it up...
