Future time travel is tangible right here and now.

It even happens to the folks in the space station. Time is going by relatively slower for them then on earth, to a measurable degree.

And people die for science all the time, what a retarded argument.

You're making the case that nobody will do it. Is what you're doing.

    And someone will.

If that's not your point, then what the fuck is your point? I'm having a hard time you're anywhere near well read on the theory of relativity.

space is empty until it isn't

"Astronomers have reported the discovery of a huge water vapor cloud floating around a black hole in space. The cloud is so big that scientists estimate it holds 140 trillion times the mass of water in the Earth's oceans"

    yeah lol

I think part of why explore space is a largely hidden agenda

    which is

that there will be a day when we can't live on earth anymore, for any number of reasons

and if we haven't found a way off by then, we will be extinct FOREVER

same with solar system, then galaxy, and maybe eventually dimension

the benefit of being able to move around through space could mean our species living millions of years longer, from a few thousand years...to millions of years and becoming godlike species

    or even living forever

still, discovering the ocean would probably help in some form, you can make the same argument for the rain forests which are being chopped down

the agenda of long term survival is hidden but its there, we NEED to discover space and learn about our place or we will die in our bubble of ignorance

The sun isn't exploding until a billion or 2 years from now the fuck we will be soot by then shit doesn't matter to us

Another thing is any planet that supposedly can substain human life is far as far fucking far gets

I guess u can't say we would age differently during space travel but humans aren't fucking wolverine you'll die eventually cryogenic sleep could work but what if something malfunctions? Who fixes it? Cyborgs? What would fix them if they malfunction in 5000 years it will take to make the voyage?

Mars weather is extremely fucked up how would they create a civilization there? It would be practical for overpopulation but again how would we control the weather?
