An "awful" list would imply that like 70% of the list is wrong. This is simply not the case, and if you don't accept that as fact, then I'm afraid I can't debate this with you. If you were just saying it hastily then I understand. But I still feel it is a very solid list. There are a good number of names (maybe 35) on there who are inarguable IMO.

I do not have Hollow because I started watching well before like 2007 (and like many others, have watched a ton of battles that occurred before the time I started watching them (I hope that made sense)) That being said I am still considering Hollow.

I'm assuming you were just upset that Hollow isn't on there so you called it an awful list, name the plethora of other things that are awful about it, and I will answer your questions. I'm not claiming to be a "battling expert" (hence the reason I created the thread) however I am not conceding I know nothing about it, and I certainly know enough to know that this list isn't awful.

And no, this isn't me "catching feelings" or getting "butthurt", I'm just answering your question.

The medina for rhymefest thing was a joke (I wish they made a sarcasm smilie). Thanks for the compliment on the project I really do appreciate everybody's interest in this.

Also, good suggestion on the facial tissue/racial issue quote, I was probably going to go with that one. Keep the quotes coming.

Thanks a lot bro. I'm really glad these are being well-received, as well as the project as a whole. It definitely gives me motivation to work harder and make this book/cards as dope as possible.

I can't speak for others, but I don't think anyone was trying to be a dick, I know I wasn't. I was joking really. Its just a lot of people on this board know the history of battling and have been watching for years, so for someone to come in and make a list of battlers who have only recently started within the last two years, it just kind of looks ridiculous.

Its like putting Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant in the top 50 NBA players of all time, but in your case, you took it a step further and put guys who would be comparable to like David Lee, Thaddeus Young, and Andrew Bogut...just not the right answers in other words.

I definitely encourage you to watch older beat battles, it even sounds like you may have not watched the WRC's. Definitely watch Smack and Fight klub as well. Hopefully it'll change your perspective.

Yea I added Twist for Bo-Rat. I've also now taken out Pack Fm and Brother Ali and put in Many Styles and Bo-Rat back in. As I said, I am open to all suggestions (doesn't mean I am going to use them all of course), but I would like to get the list set in stone fairly soon, because the illustrations take a while to do, so I don't want to have to redo any because a new guy was put in or taken out.

And yea, i'll just continue to to post the development, I've done some more spreads in the book (Murda Mook and Pro Green are complete), they are the same layout as the Organik one, except obviously with their bios and quotes instead of his. I can post those as well, but I just figured I'd wait until I had a new type of spread (contributor's section, introduction, etc.) unless people want to see Pro Green's and Mook's too.

I feel like Math, Hollow, Mad Illz, and Real Deal belong in that list.

I've put Illz in for Diabolic. As for the other guys (they're all dope as hell, so no offense to them) but I don't know if I'd consider them top 50. Hollow would be the closest.

I'm actually happy this got bumped up, I've been doing quite a bit of work on the "contributor's" section and I was going to show the artwork/spreads from that soon. Harry from Jumpoff expressed interest which was pretty cool (not doing any gay-ass name-dropping with that, I just thought it was kind of dope, and also just to show that I'm trying to contact as many people as possible to illustrate I'm very serious about this project). If anyone knows where I could get a large picture of SMACK that would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows where I can get large photos of the "face of the company" of both Brainstorm and Mic Fights, that would be appreciated.

Also, I'm definitely continuing to take suggestions on both sections, however I do feel the rappers list is getting pretty close to set in stone.

Thanks again for everyone helping, this is taking a lot of work, but with the help it definitely lightens the workload.

I suppose you can send their info to my email, or give them my email (gregrieke20@yahoo.com). Whatever you think would work best.

Uncharacteristically there is actual work to do at my job today (fuckin gay), so I can't discuss all the updates I've made, but once again I encourage you all to offer suggestions, argue, or whatever you have to do to get me the best list possible.

    Thanks again.

That reminds me, does anyone think they can contact Eyerate for me? The amount of info he is certain to have will more than likely be unrivaled. I'd do it myself, unfortunately I am not high enough on the food chain to even think about speaking to such a person.
