Yea definitely. I don't know if you got a chance to read the whole thread but someone informed me your crew wasn't "Goodfellaz", but "Wiseguys" instead. I'm going to fix it.

But yea, i'll email you now.

Here is an example of what the battler spreads will look like in the book. At the bottom is a quote from an Organik battle (I know he has better ones, but this is first one that came to my mind). Every battler will have a quote, suggestions for quotes for ANY battler on the list are encouraged.

The thing is, they can't be racist, homophobic, and I'd like to avoid the n-word as well. I understand this narrows the list for quotes considerably in some cases, but seeing that clients/employers will see this, they could obviously view it the wrong way and become offended. Cursing is fine, but I'd just like to avoid the other three listed above. Thanks.

This is the bio Organik gave me as well. Its was very much on point with what I was wanting, as it pertains mainly to his battling, there may be some minor rewording and whatnot, but its pretty strong.

your quote for illmac should be the one where he's like "which one of us could quit battlin today and still be respected as an artist" and all that shit

The bios need to read more neutral.

I understand what you're saying, but its a book celebrating the people that are in it. I may point out some guys' weaknesses or something, but every one of the people/organizations in it are going to be spoken about in a positive light for the most part.

What I'm saying is that right now the example reads more like a myspace bio the artist would write for himself, as opposed to a Wikipedia article. A more neutral tone would make for a much more professional presentation. There's also some spelling/grammatical errors, but I assume that will eventually be fixed.

I'd like to say, though, that I've been following the development of this project since you started making these threads and I absolutely love what you're doing. I soo want this book when it comes out. haha

Good point, I definitely know what you're saying about the tone. I need to find a way to address that (though I still think the content of the bio is very much along the lines of what I want). And yea, any and all spelling/grammatical errors will obviously be taken care of.

Thanks a lot for the compliment on the project as a whole, its definitely appreciated.

That shit was definitely dope, the issue with that is people would have to know the back story about why it was dope. I was kind of wanting quotes that were more straight forward, while still being effective (and at the same time leaving out the things I mentioned that could be seen as offensive: racism, homophobia, n-word, saying you'll fuck someone's baby sister, etc.)

Although I'm not sure if I'll use it, a GREAT example is Dumbfoundead against PH:

"I rep for Los Angeles, the City of Angels,
and I'll run through your whole crew
and leave your division with halos."

I will say that now, with wins(disputable as they may be) and solid performances in battles against Madness, Soul Khan, Nocando, etc, along with having the best record (wins to loss ratio 8-1), international battles, a freestyle olympics gold medal, and the most battles (along with Madness and Diz) across the map, It wouldn't be impossible to make a Dan one? Plus look at this fucking face:

While I don't think Illz makes it as a battler, he's definitely going to be in the leagues/contributor's section for GT, and I'll certainly touch on his battling career there.
