*Thumbs up* I fully intend to buy this, man.
Eric Forman's day just got a little better tbh.
Thanks Prince, iSick, and Rez.
This was done intentionally. It's a stylistic thing. Brevity in sentence structure can add a little punch ... the whole first paragraph is written in that style. The rest of the bio features a number of compound and complex sentences though. For example, while almost every sentence in the first paragraph is simple, there isn't a single simple sentence in the second ... so yeah.
Lux is a beast. It was a lot of fun rewatching his battles to write this. I hadn't watched the entire Mook battle in years ... so much ridiculous shit in there.
I can't wait to see if he'll ever make a return.
And this time, I GUARANTEE no one has an issue with the quote chosen ... just reading that line gives me an urgh face.
You wanna thank me while you're at it, Gregory?
Joe better get his writin' hand ready cuz "Lunch with Lux" is gonna be about 400-500 pages from what I can figure.
i was wondering when lux was coming in
just reading it get me hyped to watch his battles again
definetely one of the greatest ever
thats cool that you got a face to face interview!
picture is dope, quote is dope, writeup is dope. my one critique would be picking a different name than Hemingway to describe Lux's writing style, since Hemingway was a very economical writer who tried to use as few words as possible. very sparse, stripped bare style of description. hella nitpicky critique tho
You finally get the quote right.
That opening paragraph was expensive... wowzers
I love this criticism ... so rare you can talk books on a rap battle message board.
I went with Hemingway because I always saw both him and Lux as very visual writers. The type that can transport you to a scene through their words. Plus he's probably the most easily recognizable American author, so I figured it would be a safer bet to throw him in there rather than someone like, say, Faulkner or Vonnegut.
Who the fuck reads books?
nerd ass shit nigga
Shit is a good look.
Watched the Lux/Miles battle the other day 4 the 1st time, and that nigga Lux can't be human. Nigga spit like he been in Matrix killing cyborgs w/ Magneto since Morpheus was tryna get w/ the Oracle in jr high. Shit he be smoking must originate in a hydro-kushberry farm located on the dark side of Mars.
You're really getting on my nerves imo
if you're willing to spend 5 bucks or so to upload the interview, get a double-sided 1/8 inch cable (standard size for headphones) and plug the headphone jack of your recorder into the microphone jack on your computer. then all you need is some free recording software. audio quality saved
Lol, I'm like a fuckin grandpa when it comes to some of this type of stuff. But yea okay, I saw those shits at Target and was going to get one, but didn't want to get it only to have it not work. There's definitely a headphone jack on the recorder, and obviously a microphone jack on my computer. So hopefully this will all work out. Thanks bro.
