but if I were to be completely honest with you, I'd say he just sucked. thug nigga, drug dilla, when we riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide every fucking song
woah, haven't seen this thread before. Pac is top 3 dead or alive and arguably the greatest of all time. Thug Life and Makaveli are two of the best albums ever made. but yeah, we're all sure you're better than Pac, Ja.
hes beter at rhyming more syllables perhaps , cuz thats what most '''MCs'' nowadays put their focus on 99%
He was smart. Don't fall for that thug life image. He originally did conscious and political shit in his lyrics, when he realized he wasn't reaching the audience he was aiming at and just preaching to the choir he intentionally made Thug life in order to appeal to his intended audience weaving his message through it subconciously, which I respect a lot. He managed to somehow incorporate both the PE and NWA schools and fuse them of sorts. Now, he may or may not have lost himself a bit along the way, having fun, partying and sometimes just playing with the vibes and music, but I feel he had much more in him. Probably why he was so incredibly active in the booth once he realised time and life was scarce. We lost him too soon, but yet again he made himself immortal by yet again geniusly weaving in Makaveli in his last studio album. I never truly appreciated him enough when he was alive as I was too east coast, but he grew on me as I matured, and his range of topics, flows and his stage prescence and personality is something I rate among the very best there ever was. RIP. I remember when I saw Tupac Ressurection for the first time, goosebumps.
buried in a cemetery I'm a riiiiida! die, cry, sky fuck his shit was tired he may have been top 3, but I've never understood why
that's an ongoing exaggeration of his lyrics. i agree he repeats too many phrases but which rapper doesn't? also, we're talking about ALL of his original work combined - there's a lotta variety. name a wack 2Pac song and once you can't think of more than a few if any is when you're realize why you don't understand he's top 3 material. i hope my last sentence is correct. fuckin' dyslexia.
One of the few dudes I can make a 30 track playlist with and be aiight with it playing all the way out when drinking.
no, his delivery was his specialty. his lyrics are the ones that needed more work and less recycling. tupac was quantity, biggie was quality - any day of the seven day week, quality trumps quantity.
It is my true belief that he sucked balls. I'm sorry for being different. I argue the same shit in real life and people don't know whether to punch me, or walk away.
bullshit. quality also means you have less "wack" tracks than the other and Biggie definitely has some wack shit.
no, he's very far from it, big l was alot better than pac, big pun was alot better than pac. tupac just had the best back story for a rapper, his tragedies and triumphs is what pushed him into the spotlight, not lyrics.
nope, not that either. Big L and Big Pun were better TECHNICAL rappers than 2Pac but he was the whole package and dropped nothing but hits.
