I'm about to go an album buying blitz and I was wondering what you think of these joints? I may cop all, some, or most of these.

I can speak for Tony Touch: Return of the 50 MC's, Prodigy & Alchemist: Albert Einstein, & Ghostface: 12 Reasons To Die

Tony Touch - cosign... it's like a lost 90's album

Albert Einstein - solid, some dope highlights

12 Reasons To Die - Ghost never fails... the live band sound is bombastic... but I think I prefer The Brown Tape version with all different beats. Having both is ideal.

I'm definitely coppin' the Tony Toca... I've been pleased with all of his albums... and most likely, I will cop the Ghostface... I have to check out Apollo Brown's version... I like his beats, too... I'm still questioning the Alchemist and Havoc joints... I never heard of the Yancey Boys until recently, but I noticed that they rock over Dilla's beats on this joint... I listened to a couple of songs from them and right now, it seems like the beats are the brightest spots... they have some big name guests, but the rappin' isn't all that great... I feel the same way about Black Milk, too... hot beats, but questionable rappin'.

I really liked that Havoc album, it was very raw in my opinion.

For this year I came across some recommends from Dart Adams at Hip Hop Wired's While You Were Sleeping. He stops and goes with the reviews but some from earlier this year had some good ones. If your not up on some of whats been dropped independently, most of these got mentions. .
More than a few more slept on ones there too.

J Zone is easily my favorite producer/MC... although his mic skills have declined since his first joint... his beats stay top notch.

Definitely check out Black Milk's album.

Also A$AP Rocky - Long Live A$AP was a pretty damn good mainstream album. Don't see it mentioned enough.
