    Jason Heyward Appreciation Thread

It's that time. Predictions + wax poetically about your team if you must.

    AL
    East - Yankees
    Central - Tigers
    West - Mariners
    Wildcard - Red Sox

    NL
    East - Phillies
    Central - Cardinals
    West - Giants
    Wildcard - Braves

World Series - Phillies over Yankees in 5

MVPs - Mark Teixeira & Ryan Howard
CYs - Jon Lester & Tim Lincecum

And basically the only reason I made this thread, NL Rookie of the Year...

Jason Heyward....get familiar if your not already. He just might make the All-Star team THIS YEAR....still undecided on that but he's gonna be nasty eventually. I think we're probably still one year away from championship contention but we'll definitely be in there for the division and wildcard all year.

double where you at...? We making the playoffs this year?

    Don't be surprised if

Sean Rodriguez makes a bid for the A.L. Rookie of the Year...

Second baseman with tremendous power, although I think his average could potentially hurt him in his rookie season...

The Rays acquired him from the Angels in the trade that sent Kazmir(lol) to LA...

    He's hitting .419 this spring w/ 6 homers..Hit .294,30 HRs,98 RBIs with a 1.005 OPS in AAA last year....He's a utility player a la Ben Zobrist...

rays are talent laden, they had a dip in performance last year but i think that comes off the pressure of being successful the year before for the first time

nerves should calm and the importance of winning in tampa to guys that may be gone soon should surface

One of my favorite Rays...the early face of the franchise...

It'll be a hard time seeing him go, but he needs to go before the trade deadline so we can get something of value in return..UNLESS, we are in major contention and CC is playing unbelievable ball....it'd be nice to acquire more top prospects to keep the quality level high as we fight for attendance in our stadium.....

His replacement deserves his chance to shine...

I do have a feeling that Pena is going to take a major cut in salary to stay here...If the FO even wants to pursue that avenue with some resigns coming up the following year...

Adrian Beltre as well...both of them bat in the .250 range, have a lil power and can drive in some runs...but in the end...they lost huge with Bay opening to Free agency...

Scuttaro might finally solve that automatic base hit that was guaranteed on the left side of the infield....

but in the end...ya'll have regressed...
