celebrating this year's nba finals between the san antonio spurs and cleveland cavaliers, i'd like to dedicate a thread to collecting some of the best dunks in nba history

(mixes are okay, but try to find vids of the dunks by themselves)

i'll start it off by submitting what i find to be one of the most underrated in-game dunks ever... gerald wallace (sacramento kings) on bostjan nachbar (houston rockets)

i mean, it's gotten props by being included on quite a few highlight videos, but i don't see it getting quite the amount of love it deserves

the takeoff distance, the elevation, the body manuever at the end of the facial... g-force just straight skies on this joint right here. a very beautiful throwdown!

[funny], i really wish the clip included calvin murphy's reaction in entirety... he went on to say some funny things about it that were omitted

This wasn't in the NBA but it was in the Olympics and I think it is one of the best dunks of all time in an official game. The guy he jumped over is 7'2" and he only ducked his head a little bit.

    excellent submission, dub

always been a big fan of steve francis and the way he cocks/rears back with great extension before throwing it down with ferocity

hmmm, i'm still thinking about what to present next

i like finding the obscure and underappreciated ones

Clyde the Glide had some great ones...

Jordan, Clyde, Dr. J... three of the best dunkers of all time... I would add Vince and Dominique to that group as well to round out the top 5.
