sorry ennio morricone...

il maestro, you know i got all the love in both the space-time and soul-ethereal continuums for you, and you're the greatest musical mind that's ever lived, but... this is the one piece

i've heard it played by itself and sampled countless times in other music but never knew what it was until a few days ago

takes me to another place time and time again

i cry whenever i listen to it

the 80s at thier majestic peak

powerful and mystical all at once..

it transcends the simple flow of time and reaches a higher and much brighter, more ethereal plane..

i think the first time i ever heard this was a few years ago on the rNb radio station during the late hours in a segment called "the room"... where people called in and sent shout-outs to their lovers and described what they wanted to do with them in there

a slight variation of the instrumental played on the loop for like 20 minutes straight, and i never got tired of it

i don't know... it's just so hypnotic and imbues my soul with such feeling

    best piece ever for me

john colrane's most soulful piece = india w/ eric dolphy or spiritual w/ eric dolphy

both were performed live at the village vanguard, and the soul they generated in that bar????? *shakes head*

[funny], i was just playin'... that was actually my favorite john soultrane piece for a while

then i was consumed by those village vanguard recordings... almost everything i've heard from him is great, but he took it to another level at that venue

thelonious monk is my dude, too
